Does it hurt my credit if a dealer checks my score?

Find Out Here

A:  When a dealerships checks your credit it is considered a Hard Inquiry.

“Hard inquiries could lower your credit score by a few points and may remain on your credit report for two years. Fortunately, as time passes, the damage to your credit score usually decreases or disappears, often even before the hard inquiry falls off your credit report.” - Credit Karma

Very few points will come off and in the grand picture of a possible seven hundred to eight hundred points you may never even notice.  Where people have an issue is when they shop too many places!  Do you research to find the cars you really would want to own.  Narrow that list down to only a few and allow those dealers to get you a great deal on one of them!  For more information just call me directly!
